This morning Inverness Middle School suffers a tragic fire
The fire was contained to one classroom. The fire is under investigation but at this time there does not appear to be any foul play involved. We are blessed no one was injured and that it took place during the summer. Thank you to the School Administration for reacting so promptly and helping to minimize the damage. Thank you to the school custodial and other staff for jumping right in and to the district construction department for all their support. Lastly we want to thank the Citrus County Fire and Emergency Services for all their efforts to protecting our staffs’ safety and the protection of our schools.
