This Memorial weekend, the Old Homosassa Veterans Memorial in Homosassa, Florida, hosted a truly solemn and special ceremony to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country. The event brought together esteemed guests who delivered heartfelt speeches, fostering a strong sense of community.

U.S. Congressman Gus M. Bilirakis, representing Florida’s District 12, delivered a moving address that expressed gratitude and reverence for the fallen heroes. The honorable Commissioner Diana Finegan from the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners, District 2, also spoke at the Memorial Day event. Commander Richard Hunt from the Aaron A. Weaver Chapter 776 Military Order of the Purple Heart served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.
