Become a Citrus County School District Volunteer or Mentor
A Citrus County School District Volunteer or Mentor may be a parent or grandparent, a member of the business community, a retiree, or any individual who is willing to give freely of his or her time to make a positive difference in the lives of students. Every day during the school year, hundreds of Volunteer or Mentor are spending time in Citrus County schools and classrooms and sharing their talents with students and teachers.
Volunteer or Mentor serve in a wide variety of ways. They may choose among numerous activities that include mentoring or tutoring students, sharing special interests or talents, working in media centers, listening to children read, setting up learning centers, and helping students with special projects.
Helping children reach their full potential in the classroom and become successful citizens is a wonderful benefit of serving as a volunteer. If you are interested in enriching the lives of young people in our community, you are invited to join the Citrus County School District Volunteer or Mentor community.
